NEC Fellow since 2019, Yasunori Mochizuki has dedicated his efforts to fostering global multistakeholder collaboration through international organisations and technology associations. His work emphasises policy recommendations to advance digital transformation in cities and societies while actively promoting the Smart City vision in the digital age to the global community.

Before assuming his current role, Yasunori served as Senior Vice President, overseeing NEC’s corporate-wide technology innovation strategy and IoT business strategy.

With over 25 years of experience at NEC’s Corporate Research division, he has led initiatives in research and the commercialisation of groundbreaking technologies. His expertise spans diverse domains, including semiconductor devices, ICT systems, and AI-driven computer science.
